Iraqiya List

The Iraqiya List was a major political coalition in Iraq, mainly representing mainly Sunni Arabs, established to promote political participation and balance in the country’s post-2003 government. Formed for the 2010 parliamentary elections, it aimed to foster national unity and address Sunni concerns about marginalization. The list included diverse groups and aimed to overcome sectarian divides, advocating for democratic governance, reform, and national reconciliation. Although it initially gained significant support and formed part of the government, its influence fluctuated amid Iraq’s complex political landscape and ongoing sectarian tensions.
