Inversion

Inversion is a process where the usual order of words in a sentence is flipped for emphasis or effect. Instead of the typical subject-verb-object structure, the sentence begins with a different element, such as an adverb or phrase. For example, instead of saying "She arrived early," an inverted version is "Early she arrived." This technique can make language more dramatic or highlight specific information. Inversion is common in both everyday speech and formal writing to add emphasis, create rhythm, or adhere to poetic or stylistic choices.
