Inuit peoples
The Inuit are Indigenous peoples inhabiting the Arctic regions of Canada, Greenland, Alaska, and parts of Russia. They have a rich cultural heritage built around survival in extreme cold, traditional hunting, fishing, and gathering practices. The Inuit traditionally live in insulated homes called igloos or more permanent structures, and their language, Inuktitut, is a key part of their identity. Modern Inuit communities maintain their heritage while also engaging in contemporary life, emphasizing issues like environmental preservation, cultural pride, and rights to land and resources. They are recognized for their resilience and deep connection to the Arctic environment.
