Intralesional Curettage

Intralesional curettage is a surgical procedure used to treat bone lesions, such as benign tumors or cysts. The surgeon removes the abnormal lesion from within the bone using special tools called curettes, which scrape out the affected tissue while preserving most of the healthy bone structure. After removing the lesion, the surgeon may fill the resulting cavity with a bone graft or other material to support healing and maintain bone strength. This targeted approach aims to eliminate the lesion while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue, facilitating recovery and preserving joint function.
