Intolerance

Intolerance is the inability or difficulty of the body to properly digest certain foods or substances, often due to a missing or deficient enzyme needed for digestion. Unlike allergies, which involve immune responses, intolerance typically causes symptoms like bloating, stomach pain, or diarrhea without involving the immune system. A common example is lactose intolerance, where individuals can't properly digest lactose, a sugar found in milk. It is usually managed through diet adjustments rather than complete avoidance. Intolerance varies among individuals and can develop or change over time. Proper diagnosis and guidance can help manage symptoms effectively.
