Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Sets

Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Sets extend traditional fuzzy sets by handling uncertainty more effectively. While standard fuzzy sets assign a specific degree of membership to elements, Interval Type-2 fuzzy sets use a range (or interval) of values to represent this membership. This allows them to better model situations where information is imprecise or ambiguous. Essentially, they provide a 'fuzzy of fuzzy' approach, capturing uncertainty about the uncertainty itself.
