Interpretivist Paradigm
The interpretivist paradigm is a research approach that emphasizes understanding human behavior and experiences from the perspective of the individuals involved. Unlike the objective perspectives that aim for impartiality, interpretivism acknowledges that researchers inevitably bring their own beliefs, values, and biases into their work. This means that interpretation of social phenomena is subjective and shaped by context. Rather than seeking universal truths, interpretivists focus on the meanings people attach to their experiences, recognizing that knowledge is constructed socially and culturally. This approach values depth of understanding over broad generalizations, capturing the complexity of human life.
