International Workers' Olympiads

The International Workers' Olympiads were a series of sporting competitions held between 1925 and 1937, organized by socialist and workers’ movements to promote international solidarity, physical fitness, and workers’ rights. Unlike the Olympic Games, they focused on inclusivity, amateur participation, and social ideals, often emphasizing cultural exchange and political solidarity among working-class communities worldwide. These events served as an alternative platform to the mainstream Olympics, highlighting social and political values aligned with labor movements, and fostering camaraderie among participants from diverse countries.
