International Workers of the World
The International Workers of the World (IWW), known as the Wobblies, is a labor organization founded in 1905 that aims to unite all workers across industries to advocate for better wages, conditions, and worker rights. Emphasizing solidarity and direct action, it promotes the idea that workers should control the industries they work in. The IWW distinguishes itself from other unions by its inclusive approach—supporting all workers regardless of race, gender, or skill level—and its focus on revolutionary changes to improve workers' lives through collective power, rather than merely negotiating within the current system.
