International Trade Organisation

The International Trade Organization (ITO) was an early attempt to create a global framework for trade rules and cooperation after World War II, aiming to promote free trade and economic stability. Although it was never established, its ideas influenced the creation of the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 1995. The WTO now facilitates trade negotiations, settles disputes, and enforces trade agreements among its member countries, helping to reduce tariffs and trade barriers. Its goal is to ensure that trade flows as smoothly and predictably as possible, benefiting economies and consumers worldwide.
