International Socialist Tendency

The International Socialist Tendency (IST) is a global movement of left-wing groups that share socialist ideas and strategies. It originated from the British Socialist Workers Party in the 1980s and promotes the idea that capitalism should be replaced with a democratic socialist society. The IST focuses on building independent workers’ organizations, opposing imperialism, and fighting for social justice worldwide. It aims to analyze and challenge the root causes of inequality and oppression through activism, education, and solidarity across countries, uniting diverse groups under common socialist principles.
