International Sailing Federation (ISAF)
The International Sailing Federation (ISAF), now known as World Sailing, is the global governing body for the sport of sailing. Established in 1907, it sets the rules for sailing competitions, organizes major events like the Sailing World Championships and Olympic sailing events, and promotes the sport worldwide. ISAF ensures fair play and safety in sailing, develops training programs for sailors and officials, and works to grow sailing participation globally. By bringing together national sailing organizations, ISAF fosters cooperation and supports the development of the sport at all levels, from beginners to elite sailors.
