International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration (INSDC)

The International Nucleotide Sequence Database Collaboration (INSDC) is a global partnership among three main organizations—GenBank, EMBL-EBI, and DDBJ—that collect, share, and maintain DNA and RNA sequence data. These organizations work together to ensure that researchers worldwide have free access to a comprehensive, up-to-date repository of genetic information. By exchanging data regularly, INSDC supports scientific research, helping scientists understand biology, disease, and evolution across all living organisms.
