International Landslide Research Group
The International Landslide Research Group (ILRG) is a global organization dedicated to studying landslides—mass movements of rock, soil, and debris down slopes. Their goal is to better understand how and why landslides occur, assess their risks, and develop strategies to prevent or reduce damage. ILRG brings together scientists, engineers, and researchers worldwide to share knowledge, conduct field investigations, and improve landslide prediction and mitigation methods. Their work helps communities, governments, and infrastructure better prepare for and manage landslide hazards, ultimately aiming to protect lives and property.
