The International Digital Publishing Forum (IDPF) was an organization focused on supporting and promoting digital publishing standards and technologies. It aimed to improve eBook publishing and distribution by developing guidelines, such as those for the EPUB format, which helps ensure that digital content is accessible across various devices and platforms. The IDPF brought together publishers, developers, and technology experts to collaborate on best practices and innovations in the digital reading experience. In 2017, the IDPF merged with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to further advance digital publishing standards.
