The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) is a regional organization in East Africa that brings together countries like Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti, Sudan, and Uganda to promote cooperation, stability, and economic growth. It focuses on addressing common challenges such as peace and security, drought, food security, and regional integration. By working together, member states aim to solve shared issues more effectively than they could alone, fostering development and stability across the Horn of Africa.
