Interface Theory
Interface Theory suggests that our perception of reality is mediated through mental "interfaces," similar to how a computer interface allows us to interact with complex systems without seeing their inner workings. These mental interfaces simplify and shape the way we experience the world, filtering out overwhelming details and presenting information in a comprehensible form. This means what we perceive is less the objective reality itself and more our brain’s constructed interface designed to help us navigate life efficiently. Essentially, our perceptions act as a user-friendly interface between us and the true, often inaccessible, nature of reality.
