Interceptor Aircraft

An interceptor aircraft is a specialized fighter jet designed primarily to quickly locate and destroy incoming enemy aircraft or missiles before they reach their target, such as a country or strategic location. These aircraft are built for high speed, rapid response, and agility, enabling them to intercept threats at high altitudes and speeds. They often operate in national defense roles, patrolling airspace to defend against air attacks. Examples include the Soviet MiG-25 or the American F-106 Delta Dart. Essentially, interceptors act as quick-reaction guards, aiming to neutralize airborne threats before they can do damage.
