Interactivity in Art
Interactivity in art refers to artworks that respond to or involve the viewer actively, creating a two-way experience. Unlike traditional art, which is observed passively, interactive art encourages participation—such as touching, moving, or inputting data—to influence or alter the piece. This engagement can deepen the viewer’s connection, making the experience personal and dynamic. Examples include digital installations that change with user movements, or sculptures activated by touch. Interactivity expands artistic expression beyond static images, blurring the line between creator and audience and making art a collaborative, immersive experience.
