Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR)
The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) is an autonomous body established by the Organization of American States to promote and protect human rights in the Americas. It reviews concerns about human rights violations, provides reports and recommendations, and offers a forum for victims and civil society to raise issues. The IACHR also monitors member countries' compliance with human rights standards and can refer cases to the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Its goal is to strengthen democratic principles, justice, and respect for individual rights across member nations.
