Intensional Logic

Intensional Logic is a type of logic that deals with the meanings of statements, especially concerning possibility and necessity. Unlike traditional logic, which focuses on truth values (true or false), intensional logic considers concepts, beliefs, and intentions behind statements. For example, it explores how the same statement can imply different things in different contexts, such as what someone knows or believes about a situation. This is especially relevant in modal logic, which studies modalities like necessity ("must be true") and possibility ("could be true"), allowing us to analyze statements about what could happen or what is necessary.
