Intacs

Intacs are small, curved plastic rings that are gently inserted into the cornea—the clear front part of the eye—to improve vision. They work by reshaping the cornea to correct conditions like keratoconus or mild myopia, making the surface more regular. The procedure is minimally invasive, often performed in outpatient settings, and typically causes minimal discomfort. Intacs can halt or slow the progression of keratoconus and reduce dependence on eyeglasses or contact lenses, offering a customizable option for vision correction tailored to each patient's specific needs.
