Instituto Nacional de Recursos Naturales (INRENA)
Instituto Nacional de Recursos Naturales (INRENA) was a governmental agency in Peru responsible for managing and conserving the country’s natural resources, including forests, water, and biodiversity. Its roles included developing policies, overseeing sustainable use, and protecting ecological heritage. INRENA aimed to balance environmental preservation with economic development, ensuring that natural resources benefited both the environment and society. In 2012, INRENA was integrated into the Ministry of Environment to strengthen environmental governance in Peru.
