Instance Segmentation
Instance segmentation is a computer vision technique that identifies and separates individual objects within an image. Unlike simple object detection, which just labels where objects are, or segmentation that highlights entire object areas, instance segmentation precisely outlines the boundaries of each object and distinguishes between multiple objects of the same type. For example, in a photo with several cars, it not only recognizes each car but also draws a detailed outline around each one, allowing for accurate analysis and understanding of individual objects in complex scenes.
