Inspection-class ROVs
Inspection-class ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) are specialized underwater robots designed for detailed inspection and monitoring of underwater infrastructure, such as oil rigs, pipelines, and ships. They are capable of operating at significant depths, equipped with cameras, sensors, and sometimes tools for close-up examinations. These ROVs allow operators to assess the condition of structures without the need for divers, increasing safety and efficiency. Generally smaller and more maneuverable than heavy-duty work ROVs, inspection-class ROVs focus on visual inspections, measurements, and minor repairs within their operational depth and payload capabilities.
