InSight Mission
The InSight Mission is NASA's robotic lander designed to study Mars' interior. It uses specialized instruments to measure heat flow, seismic activity, and the planet's deep structure. By doing so, InSight helps scientists understand how rocky planets like Mars and Earth formed and evolved over billions of years. The lander uses a seismometer to detect Marsquakes and a heat flow probe to measure subterranean temperature. This data provides insights into geological processes and the planet’s internal composition, enhancing our knowledge of Mars and informing future exploration efforts.
