inhaler technique
Using an inhaler correctly ensures the medication reaches your lungs effectively. First, shake the inhaler well, then remove the cap. Breathe out completely, away from the inhaler. Place the mouthpiece between your lips, creating a tight seal. As you start to breathe in slowly and deeply, press down on the inhaler to release the medicine. Continue to breathe in steadily, then hold your breath for about 10 seconds to let the medicine settle in your lungs. Exhale slowly. If multiple doses are prescribed, wait a minute before repeating the steps. Proper technique improves medication effectiveness and eases breathing.
