Infrared imagery

Infrared imagery uses special cameras to detect heat emitted by objects, converting that information into visual images. Unlike regular cameras that capture visible light, infrared cameras sense thermal energy, revealing temperature differences. Warm objects, like living beings or machinery, appear brighter, while cooler surfaces look darker. This technology is valuable in various fields, such as security (detecting intruders in darkness), firefighting (finding hotspots), and maintenance (identifying overheating equipment). Infrared imagery provides a way to see beyond what the eye can detect, offering insights into temperature variations and hidden conditions even in total darkness or poor visibility.
