Infrared Detection
Infrared detection involves sensing the infrared radiation emitted by objects due to their heat. Everything with a temperature above absolute zero emits some level of infrared light, which is invisible to the naked eye. Infrared detectors pick up these signals, allowing devices to identify and measure heat differences between objects or environments. This technology is used in various fields, including night vision, thermal imaging, and security systems, enabling us to see or monitor heat signatures even in complete darkness or through obstacles like fog or smoke.
