Infomap
Infomap is a network analysis method that identifies communities or groups within complex systems, such as social networks, websites, or biological networks. It works by simulating how a random traveler would move through the network, aiming to find patterns that keep the traveler within specific clusters for longer periods. These groups are then labeled as communities because they efficiently "trap" the movement, revealing tightly connected nodes. Essentially, Infomap uncovers the structure and divisions within a network based on flow and connection patterns, helping to understand how parts of the system interact and form meaningful subdivisions.
