Infinity in Mathematics
In mathematics, particularly in set theory, "infinity" refers to a concept that describes something without bound or limit. It's not a number in the traditional sense, but rather a way to understand sizes of collections. For example, the set of natural numbers (1, 2, 3, ...) is infinite because you can always add one more. Different types of infinity exist; some sets, like the integers, are countably infinite, while others, like the points on a line, are uncountably infinite, indicating a larger size of infinity. Infinity helps us explore and compare these limitless collections in mathematics.
