Infant language development
Infant language development is the process by which babies learn to understand and communicate with sounds, gestures, and eventually words. Starting with cooing and babbling in the first months, infants gradually associate sounds with meanings. Around their first year, they often say their first words and begin to understand simple instructions. This development depends on brain growth, hearing ability, and social interactions. As they gain more exposure to language, their vocabulary expands, and they start combining words into simple phrases, laying the foundation for effective communication as they grow.
