inert gases
Inert gases, also known as noble gases, are a group of elements that are very stable and rarely react with other substances. They include helium, neon, argon, krypton, xenon, and radon. These gases have full outer electron shells, which makes them chemically unreactive under normal conditions. They are colorless, odorless, and usually found in small amounts in the air or produced in laboratories. Due to their stability, inert gases are used in lighting, welding, and as protective atmospheres for sensitive processes or materials.
