Industrial gas separation technologies
Industrial gas separation technologies are methods used to extract specific gases from air or other mixtures for various industrial purposes. Common techniques include cryogenic distillation, which cools gases to very low temperatures to liquefy and separate them; pressure swing adsorption, where gases are separated by passing through materials that capture certain molecules under high pressure; and membrane separation, using thin, selective barriers that allow specific gases to pass through. These methods enable efficient production of pure gases like oxygen, nitrogen, and argon, essential for manufacturing, medical use, and scientific research.
