Indignados
The Indignados, also known as the 15-M Movement, was a series of protests that began in Spain around 2011. Comprising mainly young people, they expressed frustration with economic inequality, unemployment, government corruption, and austerity policies. Using public demonstrations and social media, participants demanded greater democratic participation, transparency, and social justice. The movement marked a significant moment in Spain’s political landscape, inspiring similar protests across Europe. It highlighted concerns about economic hardship and the desire for systemic change, emphasizing citizens' rights to voice dissatisfaction and influence policy decisions.
