Indifference map
An indifference map is a visual tool used in economics to represent a person's preferences across different combinations of two goods or services. Each curve, called an indifference curve, shows points where the individual derives equal satisfaction, meaning they are equally happy with any combination along that line. When multiple indifference curves are plotted, the map illustrates how preferences change and how a person chooses between different bundles. The curves typically do not cross and higher ones indicate greater overall satisfaction. This helps understand decision-making and consumer choice behavior in a clear, graphical way.
