Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR)
The Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR) was established in 1962 to coordinate India’s space development efforts. It laid the foundation for the country's space program, focusing on research and technological development necessary for space exploration and satellite technology. INCOSPAR was tasked with planning and advancing space science initiatives, ultimately leading to the creation of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in 1969, which now manages India’s full space activities. Essentially, INCOSPAR served as India's initial steering body for space research, fostering scientific progress and technological innovation in the field of space exploration.
