Indian Bison (Gaur)
The Indian Bison, also known as Gaur, is a large, powerful wild bovine native to South Asia. It has a muscular body with a sturdy build, dark brown or black coat, and distinctive white patches on its abdomen. Gaurs are herbivores, primarily feeding on grasses, leaves, and fruits. They are social animals, often found in forested areas and grasslands, and tend to live in herds. As one of the largest wild cattle species, Gaurs play a vital role in their ecosystems by helping to maintain healthy vegetation and provide habitat for other wildlife.
