India Against Corruption

India Against Corruption (IAC) was a social movement launched in 2011 to fight corruption and promote transparency in India’s government and public institutions. Led by activist Arvind Kejriwal and others, it aimed to raise awareness about widespread corruption and push for stronger anti-corruption laws, including a nationwide movement for a Jan Lok Pal (ombudsman) to investigate and prevent corruption. The movement organized rallies, protests, and online campaigns to mobilize citizen support, seeking to hold officials accountable and ensure cleaner governance. Although it officially disbanded in 2014, IAC significantly influenced political discourse and reforms related to corruption in India.
