Independent samples

Independent samples refer to groups of data that are collected separately, without influencing or affecting each other. For example, measuring the heights of students from two different schools, where each student’s height is unaffected by others. In statistical analysis, this assumption means that the data points in one group do not have any connection to data points in the other group. This allows us to compare the groups accurately, knowing that their differences are not due to any inherent relationship or overlap between the samples.
