Independent record label
An independent record label, often called an "indie label," is a music company that operates without the financial support or control of the major record companies. They handle the production, distribution, and promotion of their artists' music on a smaller scale. Indie labels often focus on niche genres or emerging artists, allowing more creative freedom. While they may have fewer resources than major labels, they can be more flexible and personally invested in their artists' careers. Many successful artists started with indie labels before gaining wider recognition.
