INCRA

INCRA, or the Instituto Nacional de Colonización e Reforma Agrária, is a Brazilian government agency responsible for land reform and rural development. Its main role is to manage and regulate land distribution, ensuring equitable access to land for farmers and communities, especially in areas with large landholdings or underuse. INCRA works to promote sustainable agriculture, improve land tenure security, and support social and economic development in rural areas. Essentially, it helps organize and regulate land use to benefit small farmers and reduce land inequality across Brazil.
