Inco Superstack
The Inco Superstack is a tall smokestack located at the former International Nickel Company (Inco) facility in Sudbury, Canada. Its height, approximately 430 meters (1,410 feet), helps disperse emissions from nickel processing far into the atmosphere, reducing local air pollution and its impact on nearby communities. The towering structure improves air quality by allowing pollutants to spread out and dilute at higher altitudes. Built in the 1970s, it serves as a key part of environmental management for the factory, balancing industrial operations with efforts to minimize environmental and health impacts on the surrounding area.
