Inclusive Language Liturgies

Inclusive Language Liturgies are religious service texts that intentionally use words and phrases welcoming and respectful of all people, regardless of gender, race, or background. They aim to avoid language that may exclude or marginalize individuals, such as gender-specific terms like “mankind” or “he.” Instead, they use more neutral or inclusive language, such as “people,” “everyone,” or “they.” The goal is to create a spiritual environment where everyone feels valued, recognized, and included in worship, fostering a sense of belonging and equality within the community.
