Inborn Errors of Immunity are genetic conditions where the immune system, which protects against infections, doesn’t work properly from birth. These disorders result from inherited gene mutations that affect the development or function of immune cells and proteins. As a result, individuals may be more prone to frequent, severe, or unusual infections. Some have difficulties fighting off common illnesses, while others may experience autoimmune problems or inflammation.
