INA Provisional Government

The INA Provisional Government was a short-lived, alternative government established by Indian nationalists during World War II in 1943. Led by Subhas Chandra Bose, it aimed to challenge British colonial rule by cooperating with Japan and the Axis powers. The government was based in territories occupied by Japan and sought to mobilize Indian support for independence through military action and propaganda. Although it gained symbolic importance, it was not widely recognized internationally and was considered illegitimate by the British authorities. Nonetheless, it played a role in inspiring Indian nationalist movements and highlighting the demand for independence.
