In-body Image Stabilization

In-body Image Stabilization (IBIS) is a technology built into a camera's body that helps reduce blurriness caused by small camera movements during handheld shooting. Unlike lens-based stabilization, IBIS moves the camera's sensor itself to counteract shake. When you take a photo or record video, sensors inside the camera detect even tiny shakes and adjust the sensor's position in real time, resulting in sharper images and smoother videos without needing special stabilized lenses. This system enhances image quality across different lenses and is especially useful in low-light conditions or when using slow shutter speeds.
