Impulse Reflectometry

Impulse reflectometry is a technique used to examine the internal structure of a material or system by sending a quick, high-energy pulse (impulse) into it. As the pulse travels, any changes or discontinuities—like defects, boundaries, or variations—cause part of the signal to reflect back. By analyzing these reflected signals, we can determine the location, size, and nature of internal features without damaging the object. This method is commonly used in industries like aerospace, construction, and electrical systems to detect faults or assess material integrity efficiently and accurately.
