Impossible trident
The Impossible Trident is an optical illusion that depicts a three-pronged fork which appears to have impossible geometry—parts seem to connect in ways that defy real-world physics. The image tricks our eyes into perceiving a coherent object where the fork's prongs and handle are connected in an impossible manner, similar to other "impossible figures." This illusion challenges us to recognize how our perception can be fooled by clever use of shading, perspective, and line placement, illustrating how our brain interprets visual cues to construct familiar objects, even when they don't physically exist in reality.
