Imperial German Army
The Imperial German Army, established in 1871, was the unified military of Germany during the German Empire, which lasted until the end of World War I in 1918. It was known for its discipline, strong leadership, and advanced tactics. The army played a central role in both World War I and earlier conflicts, such as the Franco-Prussian War. It was organized into various corps and divisions and was a key player in European military affairs. After Germany’s defeat in WWI, the army was significantly reduced in size and capabilities under the Treaty of Versailles.
